We support a lot of MS Outlook clients (thousands) and from our
experience OST's should never exceed 2GB.

What we've found is that when they do, they become prone to
corruption and need constant repair work. After this occurs, we
recommend to our clients to have multiple OST's between 1Gb to
2Gb.

We almost never see an OST corruption when it's under 2Gb in
size.
One thing to note about the bynari connector is it uses an OST
to store your mailbox.
So if you have a large mailbox, then the connector becomes
unusable.
Do you know at what point it becomes a problem? Has th is
been mentioned to Bynari? Perhaps there's a way to improve it
so it doesn't become "unusable".
I would say around 5GB.

they are aware of the limitations, but they have decided to keep
using an OST because of the increase in stability it offers.

It would be nice to find an alternative way to deal with this,
because some of my clients have very large mailboxes. I have
had to move them to IMAP connections and lose some of the
groupware functionality.
I agree, 1-2GB is definitely the "safe" range.

I would love to see a good connector for MS Outlook which can work
with large mailboxes.
