It seem to poll the server way to much and often
"refresh" the inbox, specially when changing folders. Also, it would not
sync any other folder than the Inbox regardless of what folders were set
to sync in the kolab settings. The other annoying thing was that it
would show all the calendars set to sync as one calendar with no way to
tell which was which. In my
opinion, if you want a fat client on Windows, Outlook with the Bynari
connector this is the way to go.

Following is there message to me:

-------- Origina

I also setup Outlook 2013 with Kolab. I had all the same problems where Outlook only shows a single Contacts, Calendar, and Tasks "folder" and all shared or other folders on the Kolab server will get synced into this single folder. Also I was unable to create sub-folders in the Inbox, or additional mail folders outside of the Inbox. Any additional mail folders on
Kolab w
ouldn't show up in Outlook either.

On the plus side, the inbox, and single Calendar, Contacts, and Tasks did seem to work and sync correctly.

I also contacted Bynari and they gave me the same news and also told me that the new version should support Outlook 2013.

Though, it would be great if the Activesync could work because the connector can become expensive quickly with multiple clients. I'm not sure how many of the above problems are a fault of Kolab activesync vs a limitation of Outlook's activesync. It seemed even within Outlook I couldn't create separate Calendars or Contact folders.
