<p>I followed process for installing Kolab in Gentoo based Linux - Calculate Linux Directory Server 10.2 - that Calculate indicated being <span style="font-style:italic;text-decoration:underline">100% compatible with Gentoo.</span></p>

<p><span style="font-style:italic;font-weight:600">At end</span>, when prompted to type "<span style="font-style:italic;font-weight:600">emerge kolabd</span>", I received following error message:</p>

<p><span style="font-style:italic;font-weight:600">[Errno2] No such file or directory: '/usr/portage/local/layman/make.conf' in/etc/make.conf</span></p>

<p><span style="font-weight:600">echo "source /usr/protage/local/layman/make.conf" >> /etc/make.conf</span></p>

<p><span style="font-weight:600">layman -f -a kolab</span></p>

<p><span style="font-style:italic">There was no error message return at that point.</span></p>
