????
I know Outlook (and hate it) but in Outlook XP, Outlook 2003 and Outlook 2007 you have to fill out the smtp and the pop server If you want to connect to a server. Thunderbird also needs these setting. Even Kontact needs the Servername on installation.
If you have a mobilephone and you only can connect to one server there is some kind of autocompletition.

Greetings from Belgium, Sascha

2009/10/1 Nazeer <Nazeer@kryptonpcs.co.za>

In outlook or most new phones, you just type in the email address and
password and it gets all server info like incoming part server, smtp, port
etc

Like if I had a gmail address, I could simply type in my email address and
password and it would automatically fill in all the other details and my
Mailbox would be setup

Thanks
Subject: Re: Automatic Email Server Settings

What do you actually mean by "enable automatic server"??
You always need the username, password and the pop and smtp server to setup
something.
At some ISP's the username differs from the domainname, so you always will
need to tell him that.
Plus you might want to use a different smtp server than the one from kolab.

Mit freundlichem Gruß,
