Migration to a new server

I did this about one year and an half ago. I don't recall details, but
it was not too hard. That said I have a very simple setup.

What I did:
 - Installed the same OS and version of Kolab on the new server
 - Configured the fresh installation to make sure Kolab was running correctly
 - Stopped Kolab on the new and old servers and then I started the move:
   * I moved LDAP, this is easy and explained in the red hat directory
server documentation (see backup and restore)
   * I moved IMAP, this is easy as well, just need to sync two directory trees4
   * Moved all the databases
 - Moved all config files I customized / changed and forgot to move in
the earlier steps, like the MTA config ()which is probably a good idea
to migrate earlier than now), or the httpd config.

Then something will not work and you'll realize you still missed something :).

I know this is really missing details, but gives and idea at least.

Good luck!
Enrico
