attachments in kolab

I have an install with kolab-syncroton-2.2.4.
ActiveSync works well, but when trying to download an attachment I have:
unable to connect to server user at domain.ro[1]
(  the mail account in fact)

I don't have any clue in kolab-syncroton logs; I have that in apache's log:
Mon May 05 21:39:59 2014] [error] [client 109.166.140.135] PHP Warning:  
DOMDocument::loadXML(): PCDATA invalid Char value 1 in Entity, line: 7 in 
/usr/share/kolab-syncroton-2.2.5/lib/ext/Syncroton/Command/Sync.php on

Tried to upgrade to syncroton-2.2.5, same error.
