Hi Stefan,

as a user preference in your applications (i.e. the web client, 
Kontact, Thunderbird) you have an option available that allows you to 
include your reply in the thread.

In the web client, for example, go to Settings -> Preferences -> 
Composing Messages, where you will find an option "Place replies in the 
folder of the message being replied to".
