Multiple issues: Kaddressbook, Activesync, SMTP authentication, LDAP search, Roundcube Calendar

Hello,

I've set up a test server with CentOS 6.4 and Kolab 3.0, primarily by
following this guide:
http://docs.kolab.org/en-US/Kolab_Groupware/3.0/html/Community_Installation_
Guide/chap-Community_Installation_Guide-Installation.html#sect-Community_Ins
tallation_Guide-Installation_with_RPM_Packages

I am experiencing a couple of issues:

1: In KDE Kontact, I recieve a warning that says I'm connecting to a server
that don't need authentication and asks if I'm sure I want to do so. The
account is set up as a Kolab Groupware account. Have I missed something?

2: This is closely related: When trying to send an email from Kmail, I am
asked to log in to the LDAP server when typing in recipients. No matter what
I type in as username/password, I get "Access denied, wrong credentials.".
What, exactly, should be typed in here?

3: (I guess you notice a pattern here...) When logged in as root on the
mail-server, I try to perform an LDAP search, but can't figure out how to
get passed this: "ldap_bind: Inappropriate authentication (48)

additional info: Anonymous access is not allowed"

(I am not very familiar with LDAP, and are afraid of changing the
anonymous-settings). How do I perform an LDAP-search from in terminal with
default Kolab-settings? (There is no gui on the server.)

4: Again, closely related to the previous questions: I can't see my contacts
in Kaddressbook. Does anyone have a solution for this?

5: If I try to create an appointment in the Roundcube Calendar; in the "New
event" popup-window the Start- and End-dates are both shown as "j.4.2013"
(I'm testing this in April), and it's not possible for med to save the new
event. (Nothing happens when I click on Save.) Where do I edit the
dateformat so Roundcube accepts it?

I believe that was all...

Thank you for any response!

:)
