I have two imap logs, because I have separated roundcube and kolab-syncroton
folders.
The string you reffer is from syncroton log, during registration.

Dovecot save all annotation in plain text in /var/lib/dovecot/shared-metadata.
I can't find any "DEVICE" line.
I have only this regarding activesync
priv/mailbox/c44ff2239d667750c3120000c9136a7e/private/vendor/kolab/activesync
{"FOLDER":{"SAMSUNG1357332043354261":{"S":1}}}

There is any chance to have a formatting error in syncroton who prevents the
annotation to be written? Because there are few SET ANNOTATION commands, but
only one line wrote in shared-metadata.
