Everything seems alright here.

To be honest, I only have a very limited number of educated guesses:

- Does your password contain any special characters?

I'm primarly thinking of characters like double-quote (", ends the string),
dollar ($, variable expansion), exclamation mark (!, doesn't work really well
in bash, try: echo "!hello").

We could try changing the web-admin code to use single quotes / some shell
escaping for double quotes.
