using Kolab as hosting platform

You can. But the apache within the Kolab server is not set to name  
based virtual hosts by default. So you'd definitely need to tweak the  
configuration of the server to allow this.

In addition you might wish to install some web applications for one or  
several domains rather than just static HTML. In that case the  
required modifications can become more complex and at that point  
another external apache may make more sense.
