Kolab Mail archiving - software, methods, experiences?

Actually it is an archiving solution.
I use rsync --link-dest=/path2/fullark
The full sync is on the 1st of the month, but before the full sync is 
done, I copy the month to an archive folder. I have (incremental) 
backups for everyday of the month going back to late 2007 ; )
Space is my big issue.
