chatty smtpd

Although I have the following lines in smtpd.conf

   log_level: 3
   pwcheck_method: saslauthd
   mech_list: PLAIN LOGIN
   # This is a completely unnecessary setting, but it makes the
   # cyrus-sasl plugin loader shut up about an invalid auxprop parameter
   sasl_ldapdb_uri: ldap://localhost

smtpd is complaining all the time:

I am using kolab2/gentoo. Thanks fo any hints.
