Then look a the "source"

tcpdump -l -s 65535 -x -n -i lo port 143

And also you can try

# imtest -a manager -w password  -v localhost

and if you are authenticated
type the command (dont forget the 1, meaning first command)

1 LIST "" "*"

and

999 logout

to quit
