once the newer Horde has been integrated into the Kolab server you
should be able to mount your calendar or tasklist via webdav and
modify the task on the command line. I'm not yet certain how this will
exactly look like but this will at least be one possibility.

Another way might be the python-kolab library if development continues
on this package.
