Hm, looks like my experiences with the shared folders have been
somewhat limited up to now. Sorry to say that I experience exactly the
same problem if I switch the folder type. 

Can I deferr the discussion of this problem to the forum at
http://smf.gunnarwrobel.de? Can you repost your request in the bugs
section there?

I don't want to confuse people on these lists with all the funny bugs
I introduced by porting Kolab to Gentoo. If this turns out to be a
problem that originates from Kolab CVS I'll just send a patch upstream
but usually it's more likely that I overlooked something on Gentoo.
