Hi,

I did the canonical mapping of the internal email address (on the kolab server) to the real ISP's address
And with Smarthost / relay pointing to my ISP's smpt server; mails to external addresses get sent to the outside
world with the correct real world email address to which the internal mailbox is mapped. :-) so far so good...

Then for receiving i installed fetchmail , made a .fetchmailrc saying

setpostmaster "root"
poll mail.provider.be with proto pop3
user "email at provider.be" there with password "....." is "user1 at mydomain.lan" here wants mda "/kolab/sbin/sendmail" options fetchall

To test i sent an email from user1 at mydomain.lan to lucy at cwofficesolutions.be (a real world address)

In my cwofficesolutions mailbox i received a mail from lucy at tettekop.com (user1 at mydomain was canonical mapped to it)

when i reply to that , a while later i get the following error msg back from ISP

The original message was received at Sat, 5 Nov 2005 23:55:17 +0100 from localhost [127.0.0.1]

----- The following addresses had permanent fatal errors ----- <lucy at tettekop.com>

(reason: 554 5.4.6 Too many hops)

----- Transcript of session follows -----

554 5.4.6 Too many hops 26 (25 max): from <lucy at cwofficesolutions.be> via localhost, to lucy at tettekop.com

Where did i go wrong ?

Thanks already

Lucy.
