It's more than only the user. There is an entry in /etc/shells,
/etc/init.d/kolab, /etc/crontab and maybe more.

I think running ./obmtool kolab and aborting it early should create
all the above, after this you can remove /kolab and restore it from
your backup.

Another way is to put the compiled rpm files in the directory from
which you run obmtool, so these will be installed instead of
recompiling from source.
