The changes in the web admin GUI get written to the LDAP repository (you may 
verify using slapcat) and then shortly later the kolabd retrieves the new 
values from the LDAP server. The kolab daemon (a perl script) uses a template 
file and the ldap values in order to generate the unix configuration files 
(e.g. main.cf) and then restarts the service if required.
