First, kaddressbook is part of kdepim :-)

Second, there were some work in this area to work around a bug in Qt, and 
with some combinations this was supposed to have gone away. I thought 
this had been fixed completely, so I'm quite surprised about this report.

You need to report this on bugs.kde.org along with your Qt version, KDE 
(libs+base) version and kdepim version. The combination you have looks 
like it's not working.
