The METADATA extension is certainly the right solution for our
purposes. I won't disagree. I just have the feeling that having Cyrus
supporting this for the last few years did not really help in getting
this forward.

Okay, maybe I'm just being impatient :) After all this is a major
problem for on a distro like Gentoo.
Anyway I'll try to get this implemented into Horde at some point since
I'd really like to see people storing their Groupware data on Google
Mail in a Kolab format. I guess we'd find some users for that :)
