Do you think that the problem is only related to changed attendees and changes 
in attachments?

If yes, are you willing to accept the other proposed changes for improved 
support of recurrances?

If no, which other parts do you think are problematic?

IMHO gaining such a consensus would be already a significant progress.

(I am mainly trying to separate the controversal stuff from the 
uncontroversal)
