http://www.w3.org/TR/xmlschema-2/#date also indicates that dates should be YYYY-MM-DD
(note the added dashes), and datetime should be YYYY-MM-DDThh:mm:ss (where T is litteral).
(It also says that the time should be followed by a 'Z' for UTC; if we require UTC we can either
require the 'Z' or imply it.)
Can we adopt those?
They are ISO 8601 compliant, and would make my job a bit easier with the RelaxNG schema :)
