Birthday events have a red background color in my (default?) configuration.
They are annotated with four icons:
calendar, bell, rotating arrows, crossed out pencil

1. The four icons take much space, so the person's name is hardly visible in
week view.
2. The crossed out pencil isn't recognizable, because the red bar has the same
color as the backgrouund.
