[Kolab-devel] use of openldap dynamic configuration to avoid down time

Hi

Do you know openldap support dynamic configuration since version 2.3 ?
It is possible to add access rules, or update schema without downtime.
This is done through "dn=config" tree.

Of course it is more complicate to maintain a configuration than rewrite it
from scratch at every change.

Kolab and all its components are blind when ldap is stopped!
This append rather rarely but this is in the sight of an improvement.

This is something to keep in mind, when thinking to future kolab improvement
