[Kolab-devel] A first release of Horde RPMS for Kolab

Hi!

The initial release of the experimental Horde packages still had
serius problems with regard to upgrading packages. This should now
work far better.

I did rename most of the horde packages to match them to the Gentoo
versions. They will now only carry the date as version information and
an additional release number in case only configuration files are
modified. In this way you should be able to get a clean upgrade path.

If you installed the first set of horde packages, I would suggest
cleaning these packages from your system first and install the renamed
packages afterwards.

Horde still has some larger issues when working together with Kolab
and the current packages are still highly experimental (especially
since they modify core Kolab packages).

The main issues:

 - Restructuring the Kolab driver + caching
   (https://intevation.de/roundup/kolab/issue1625) -> Status: Pending
   upstream review (http://bugs.horde.org/ticket/?id=5124)

 - Turba, several bugs (https://intevation.de/roundup/kolab/issue1596,
   https://intevation.de/roundup/kolab/issue1661) -> Status: No
   progress so far

 - Applying patches for Horde to the main Kolab packages
   (e.g. https://intevation.de/roundup/kolab/issue1608) -> Status:
   Will happen after the Kolab-2.1 release.

Cheers,

Gunnar
