Hi all,
I found an installation problem in beta3 on a fresh new debian 4.0.

I run the following command:

/data/kolab-2.2-beta3-source/install-kolab.sh -H -i \
/data/kolab-2.2-beta3-source/ 2>&1 | tee kolab.2.2-beta3-install.log

And I got this error:

/data/kolab-2.2-beta3-source/install-kolab.sh: line 296:
/kolab/lib/openpkg/shtool: No such file or directory

It seems that -i option can be use only if kolab is already installed, on an
upgrade process and not in a new fresh install.

The same command but with no -i option works.

I add two or three things on 1st.README

****
In 1st.README file I think is missing the fact that install-kolab.sh must be
executable.

****
Also in 1st.README there is a typo error I think. I read:

# ./install-kolab.sh -H -F 2>&1 | tee kolab-install.log

to build and install packages in /kolab. The command output will
be logged to install-kolab.log so that you have a reference in case
an errors occurs during installation.

Kolab-install.log is then called install-kolab.log

****
Under debian you need also before installing:

aptitude install make gcc

A note in 1st.README will help.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

I also noted a difference in the installation respect to the old obmtool.

Now at installation end there is no summary as before.

That summary was really useful. I hope it is possible to reintroduce it in a
near future.

Now all .src.rpm remain in /kolab/RPM/SRC is it correct? Is better to move then
to /koab/RPM/PKG as before?
