Hm, looks like a php syntax error. I do have this code around that
line and no parse problem:

        $result = $this->_storage->getImap()->mailboxExist($new_folder);
        if (is_a($result, 'PEAR_Error')) {
            return $result;
        }

Did you modify the /usr/share/horde3/lib/Horde/Share/kolab.php file?
