[Kolab-devel] [issue1433] Some files in /kolab/etc/postfix/ have wron ownership

New submission from Bernhard Herzog <bh at intevation.de>:

Some of the files in /kolab/etc/postfix/ of the kolab 2.1 server have the wrong
ownership. Most files in that directory are owned by root with gid kolab. The
files generated with kolabconf from templates are owned by kolab-n with gid
kolab-r.

This causes problems when upgrading. I think this is the real problem behind
issue1220 and it also made the instructions in the kolab security advisory 11
more complicated because after the recompilation of postfix some files were not
properly regenerated.

The fix seems simple: change the ownership setting in the templates. This is
important in particular for virtual and transport because their ownership is
used by postmap. The change in proposed in msg7436 -- running postmap with the
o option -- would probably not be necessary if the files had the right ownership
in the first place.
