[Kolab-devel] LDAP server dies(?) on 2.1beta2?

Hi all,

given that 2.1 is still beta, I decided to post this to devel, hope that's ok.

I've recently installed 2.1.beta2 on a new machine (basic SuSE 10.0 install as
host). Installation from source went fine. I'm now in the process of
configuring it and preparing it for migrating all necessary data from our old
Kolab 2.0.4 server.

Up till now, it has happened several times to me that the web interface would
suddenly not react any more - in those cases a message:
"Could not bind to LDAP server: Internal (implementation specific) error" is
displayed. When that happens, I can also see messages like this
in /var/log/messages:

Nov 7 15:20:01 HOSTNAME C: Reloading configuration
Nov 7 15:20:01 HOSTNAME C Error: Unable to find kolab object
`k=kolab,dc=OUR,dc=DOMAIN'
Nov 7 15:20:01 HOSTNAME C: Finished reloading configuration

/var/log/warn will show this (every 10 minutes):

Nov 7 15:20:01 HOSTNAME kolabquotawarn[11149]: fatal: Can't read
configuration, please make sure that kolabquotawarn runs with sufficient
privileges.

Running "/kolab/bin/openpkg rc openldap restart" will resolve the situation -
until the next time.

So far, I have not been able to establish what's going on, but I'm getting
nervous as to whether I can actually put this box into production use - if
this happens more often, I'd rather not... Hence, I'd appreciate some hints
as to where to look for additional info to track this down.

Regards,

Thomas
