Hi Vladimir,

the kolab imapd incorporates kolab specific patches. If you use the
plain imapd without those patches some features necessary for kolab will
be missing. I wrote an ebuild for the patched imapd a while ago. You
will find it here (http://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=96728). But it
has not been updated in a while and will probably fail. But it might
give you an idea where to start.
