These things take time... there's a (rather involved) process that needs to be 
followed in order to get them committed and a new package released.

An RPM would be ideal though, as long as the Net_IMAP interface stays intact. 
Perhaps we could expand this to a general PEAR RPM that includes several 
packages (another package we need to install separately is 
HTTP_WebDAV_Client).
