OpenLDAP 2.2.5 was a release commented "Our latest releases of OpenLDAP
Software for general use". Doesn't sound to me being experimental.

If you want to follow this tip you can use the OpenPKG CURRENT package
ftp://ftp.openpkg.org/current/SRC/openldap-2.2.7-20040323.src.rpm In
case you don't find it a later package has displaced it. Just browse for
the latest openldap-*.src.rpm

Because the ZfOS kolab-20040217-2.0.0 is based on OpenPKG 2.0 *and*, as
of today, no incompatible changes were introduced in CURRENT past the
2.0 release, you can easily replace packages with OpenPKG CURRENT. You
will have to build them from source but this doesn't matter much as ZfOS
always comes with the wholly development environment necessary to build
packges, even if you downloaded binaries.

I'm interested in your findings and will eventually update ZfOS if use
of a CURRENT openldap package helps. Alternatively it might be possible
to create a OpenPKG 2.0 UPD package with either this function being
fixed or the offering of the failing function being disabled.
