I know it's been asked before, but I haven't seen a logical response.

Why use openpkg???

Why not do a source distribution and list what dependencies there are?  
Include patches for the sources that need to be patched (apache, imap, etc).  
That way different people can configure it and install it how they like.  An 
openpkg distribution would still be possible to do - just based off the 
source distribution.
