try and register an external address using all field : 
 
after having logged in as manager  
run : 
addessbook  
create a New vCard 
fill in all the field 
 
we get the following error: 
 
LDAP Error: could not add object cn=Boyer de la  
Giroday Michel,cn=external,dc=giroday,dc=dyndns,dc=org: Object class  
violation
